Our Grand Opening will be held the same day of the Adventure Race on Saturday, March 27th, 2010. Participation for this event is $10. We will also be having WODS (workout of the day) Presentations every hour on the hour from 10am to 3pm, to get an insight of our coaches and current members.

Participants will also enter for a chance to win a free “On-Ramp Class” or a Month’s Membership paid for! The On-Ramp Class, is an introductory course that explains in detail what Ranger Crossfit is about, how the workouts are programed, what is expected when joining crossfit, and also identifies what is the proper nutrition.

If you have any other questions, feel free to contact Miguel De La Fuente at (956) 346-0438, head coach and founder of the facility.

This Adventure Race is a different kind of race that we are trying to introduce to the valley which parellels with crossfit. Crossfit in general is a very new, and different way to stay physically fit here in the RGV. We teach people about the knowable and the unknowable, and through fitness, we train people for life. Everyone struggles and faces hardhip at times. Through this race, we are tying these two organizations together to assist in raising funds for both UNIDAD and Easter Seals which assist people and families through those hardships.

UNIDAD is hosting a retreat to help parents educate and prevent their children to not get involved in drugs, alcohol, and violence. It also extensively educates the parents how children can get involved with fun activities to avoid getting into trouble. This retreat that UNIDAD is conducting can be beneficial to anyone, but it is targeted to the low income families.

Another organization that the Adventure Race is assisting with, is Easter Seals. Part of the proceeds collected, are specifically going to two such programs that Easter Seals provides for it’s community. They include, an Autism program and Early Childhood Education Program.

THAT RACE WAS NOT EVEN WHAT A ADVENTURE RUN IS. IF YOUR GOING TO DO AN ADVENTURE RACE, DO IT, DONT JUST SAY ITS GOING TO BE TOUGH AND MAKE EVERYONE DO ELEMENTRY EXERCISES. YOU CALL YOURSELF A CROSSFIT TRAINING FACILITY, THAT RACE WAS WEAK, IF I WANTED TO DO JUMPING JACKS, AIR SQUATS AND PUSHUPS , I CAN DO IT AT HOME. I WENT THERE FOR A CHALLENGE, AND ALL I GOT WAS A P90X WORKOUT. DONT BLUFF AND MAKE IT A SILLY RACE, FYI NEXT TIME USE GOOGLE UNDER CROSSFIT ADVENTURE RACE, IT MAY HELP YOU.
