Position(s): Third base/Pitcher/Outfield
What are your team goals for this season? To do better than last year, have a higher batting average, play better defensively, go farther in playoffs, and to stay healthy.
What are your individual goals for this season? To play my best and see how much I can push myself to be successful in every game.
Who has been the toughest pitcher or hitter you have faced? The toughest pitcher Iʼve faced so far is Lupe Lopez from La Joya; his ball, whether itʼs a fastball or change or curveball, has a lot of bite and is never flat, so itʼs always moving and coming hard. The toughest hitter Iʼve faced has been Alvaro Moreno, just when I thought I had him down for strike three, he manages to place to ball in an open part of the field.
What has been your best game so far and what did you do? My best games so far have been two games in a tournament; at the plate, I went 3-3 with a homerun and 4+ RBI.
What is one thing you would change in baseball if you could? Nothing, itʼs perfect as it is.
What is the significance of your uniform number? Iʼve been wearing #5 all my life, from little league to now, and the meaning behind the number is my family. They include my dad, mom, two brothers and a younger sister. They are the reason I can play baseball, so I choose #5 for them.
Have you received any offers to play college baseball and if so from who? I canʼt remember names exactly, but I know two schools in New Mexico, one from Northern Iowa University, Cisco, El Paso, a Junior College from Missouri, UTB, Liberty University from Washington, McMurry, and Trinity in SanAntonio.
Who has had the biggest influence on your life? My family has the biggest influence in my life. From taking me to practice, getting me the things I need for baseball or school, taking their time off to support my goals in life, they sacrifice everything for me.
