The La Villa Cardinals shocked the entire country Saturday by winning the National High School Coaches Association 7on7 Tournament in Bradenton, Florida.
After an impressive showing at the Texas State 7 on 7 tournament, La Villa was invited to the National Tournament. The Cardinals were led by quarterback AJ Garza, who led the Cardinals to a 5-0 record on Thursday. After beating Wren (SC) earlier in the day, the Cardinals pulled off a 39-29 over the home town team Southeast HS.
Highlights of these games will be available later on in the week. Versus will also be airing the game in September.
