Coach Valdez Has The Bobcats On A Playoff Run
The Edinburg Bobcats have three returning all-district players in Sammy Alvarado, Aldo Zamora, and Edgar Cordon (UTPA commit) who will lead them in 2012. Last season the Bobcats were 24-9 including a Bi-District Championship defeating Brownsville Hanna in three games. In the Area Round the Bobcats were knocked off by Laredo United in a very tough 1-0 lost. This season the Bobcats will count on Alvarado, Cordon, Ivan Herrera, Michael Harrison, Scott Therault, and Ramon Enriquez to pitch them to victory. “Staying healthy will be a big priority because we do not have the depth and experience of years past,” said Coach Robert Valdez. “Player will have to understand their roles and rise to the occasion in our very tough district,” said Coach Valdez. Look for the Bobcats to fight for a playoff spot behind district favorite PSJA.
