Wolverines Must Overcome Off-Season Injuries

The Wolverines will be under the direction of second year head Coach Rick Caballero.  PSJA Memorial has six returning starters but, two were injured during the off-season and Coach Caballero is hoping they are ready to play in 2012. The 2011 Wolverines finished in 5^th place right behind Harlingen South.  PSJA Memorial had a 14-14 record in 2011 and went 12-15 in 2010.  Senior Joey Perales, P/OF, who has been an All-District performer for the last two years is a very talented player and will look to lead the Wolverines. Senior Fabian Buenrostro and junior Jeremiah Galindo both have All-District honors and are solid players.  Benjamin De Hoyos, Herminio Garza, Bernie Saenz, and Gilbert Arreola will all have a huge influence on the 2012 season.  The Wolverines had a very competitive JV team and Coach Caballero is hoping that some of these players will pan out and contribute this season.
