Sharyland Takes State in Shoot-Outs

GEORGETOWN — The Sharyland Rattlers defeated Katy Morton Ranch 3-2 in a shootout Saturday to claim the UIL Class 5A state boys soccer championship.
This is the first soccer title for Sharyland and the first for the valley since Hidalgo’s victory in 2009.
The Rattlers finished their historic season 31-3-3.
