The La Joya Coyotes were out of the playoffs for the first time in many seasons, but they believe that last season was a learning experience for them in order for them to become more competitive in 2013.  The Coyotes will have to replace Ramon Moreno (Laredo Jr. College), Alexander Mata, and Joe Hernandez this season.   Coach Farias had a sour taste in his mouth and would love nothing better than to get back to the post season. “I believe that Sharyland, Edinburg North, and Edinburg High should be the top teams this season,” said Reuben Farias, who has a career record of 237-92-3 during his 11 season at La Joya.  Look for Esteban Chapa, Roberto Hernandez, Damian Leal, Leeroy Prado, and Abraham Perez to lead the way for the Coyotes this season. Chapa is the lone all-district returning starter this year. Last season the Coyotes finished last in the district race, so this time they look to climb the latter and into contention.  “We have a lot of work to do to get back to where we want to be,” added Coach Farias.
