The Lobos Took A Huge Step Forward Last Season

With only two seniors the Palmview Lobos are becoming a program that everyone must respect in terms of top teams in the Rio Grande Valley. “We have good young nucleus of players coming back with one good year of experience and great leadership from our two seniors this will determine the team success this year,” said Coach Manuel Garcia entering his 5th season at Palmview. The Lobos have were 7-20 back in 2009 finishing in 7th place, in 2010 they were 22-10 good enough for 3rd place, in 2011 they went 10-17 in 7th place, and last season the Lobos were 20-8 finishing in 2nd place just behind Sharyland. Last season the Lobos were defeated in bi-district action by Laredo United in two games of a three game series. Four all-district player’s return which include Christian Palanco, Omar Garza, Christian Rocha and Esequiel Huarach. The Lobos will be a very good team by the end of the season. The Lobos will battle both Sharyland and Edinburg North for the district title this season.
