Porter vs Brandeis Preview

Brandeis Brownsville Porter

Tony Forina and Joey Calvillo will have the call from the UTPA Field house Friday night as the San Antonio Brandeis Broncos take on the Brownsville Porter Cowboys. Tip off begins at 8pm with our broadcast starting at 7:45.

The tale of the tape would lead you to believe that this is an even match-up.  Both teams are similar in size, with Brownsville having three players at 6’5”.  In reality, Brandeis is the # 7 team in state with an arsenal of players that can shoot the ball.

Porter is coming off a huge win over heavily favored and 22nd ranked Nikki Rowe on Tuesday.  They showed that they can defend the paint and score in transition quickly.

Both teams come in with similar records, and both teams high scorers average about the same amount of points.  Porter’s Del Los Santos is scoring 14 a game, and the Broncos’ Justin Graham is leading his team  with 14/ppg, 5.1 rpg, and 4.5 assists.

If the Cowboys can slow down Graham, the Cowboys could advance to the Saturday’s game.
