It will come down to this week. I give points for stregth of schedule. On predicted district contenders. This is based on Maxpreps strength of schedule. Pace takes the advantage because they will be playing an undefeated team this week. Weslaco will be playing a winless team. If Pace loses they will drop considerably. If they win and Weslaco wins, Pace would still be ahead. If they lose Weslaco would move up. If Weslaco played their normal tough non district schedule this would be different.

Funny one tiger. First of all, Donna has played a tougher schedule. Weslaco has played two teams that have not done anything. Harlingen South's win against Hanna is the only major accomplishment. Hanna is still winless. Strength of schedule. Morris, Weslaco has Dylan, and he may be enough this year but you can't tell me they have faced some stiff competition. The Los Frenos game will set the tone for the season.

Still, all through spring ball and summer, Weslaco was going to amount to the pile my chihuahua leaves behind because Mishak was gone. We've heard it all. Now, our schedule isn't tough enough for anyone, we've haven't played anyone, the defense still sucks, just wait till Los Fresnos. It's no wonder that Weslaco peeps get all fired up over all the trash talk that's thrown this way.

McHi's team is great. Remember, i said I thought they were the best team in the valley at the beginning of the city. However, they lost to their only real competition and have beat the tar out of two rebuilding teams. Both teams they beat have a combined 0-4 record.

This is a new and more balanced TEAM. When you have Super Sophs. who play like players who have varsity experience and Mr. Blackmon running like the wind and Mr. Deleon "AKA" Romo, running and gunning the offense the way they are, Come on, you can only sit back and enjoy the show this kids put on for us fans. yup a loss to EE...id say harlingen is nowhere near top 2 yet, havent played consistently thru 3 weeks. Proven that the cards can comeback from a loss when playing on both sides of the ball is clicking...havent seen them put on back to back performances like that, waiting for that district opener see if the cards pick up where they left off against the hounds or play sloppy like in the EE loss....oh well this sucks no game this week for the cards...calallen against lf is goin to be a good one though

pop warner plays by different participation rules. wyfl goes by age, pop warner goes by weight. also our game rules are a little different. there's no nose tackle in the wyfl, and there is a limited amount of defenses you can run. there is no unbalanced line in the wyfl. i think pop warner has open rules as long as they comply with ncaa rules

this league is separate from organizations like that. it's part of the city parks and recreation program, but it has it's own governing board. they ensure that there is enough money, equipment, and that all the fields, where we play and practice, are kept in good condition.

as far as how many players at the varsity level that have played in the wyfl is concerned, every single year, you can bet that of the 22 starters on the field, at least 90% of them played at the wyfl.....
