RGV Nuggets loses to San Antonio Flossers in championship game. They had a solid team, but our boys played them tough. They had a lil Dikembe Mutombo inside
blocking all of our shots. Would like to play them again

Thanks, also i'm very proud of all the Valley teams that participated. Storm and Big Tymers represented the Valley well.

Going up to the Valley this weekend FINALLY!!! Playing some of the top comp teams in the Valley. Got a point guard from El-Paso that just fell into our laps very good shooter. Playing in Gaytans Cancer Benefit Tourney in Edinburg this Sunday April 22nd. Good Luck to all teams participating!!Any other 7-8th grade boys teams playing??Met Genaro from Big Tymers Great Person!!!!

The Bruins from Corpus are Moses's team which used to be the Outlawz they are hands down the best team in Corpus No Offense intended to anyone just my personal opinion. Moses is a great guy and always has his teams ready to play anyone and doesnt shy away from competition.

Yeah tourney in corpus this weekend was good. It was good to get some games against some good competion. Nuggets Storm and big tymers represented the valley very well. I think all of us want another chance against the Flossers. That big boy was good. What i lilked is that our boys and the nuggets boys kept attacking him. They didnt back down from him.

We will defitnalty try to bring them down here. trying to get them and the bruins to come down. flossers are hosting a tournament in two weeks, we are thinkIng of going over, need to get with parent to see if there up to it. should be a good one with 12 teams, teams outta austin, houston...

yes we really fought back hard, we were proud of our boys for not backing down and kept trying. its all good, like they Say better to lose to a good team and learn than to beat a team up by 30+. now back to practice and fix those mistakes. You guys had taht team you were tied going into second half of it.

Bigtymers that would be the C.C. Heat and the C.C. Bearcats but the bearcats probably but they did not do so well in the JanJamm as the 8th grade division was stacked this past year. We are from Laredo but play a lot in Corpus SA Houston and of course Laredo. In all regards dont ever play in a tourney in Laredo I love Laredo but there are not many teams and the tourneys are not very good. The Laredo Hoopstars are arguably the best 7th grade team in Laredo we got a nice point guard that just moved down from El Paso that played on a travel team in El Paso and can really shoot the ball but 2 of there better kids also play in SA on travel teams when they aren't playing. The Coach is very nice,friendly and courteous and extremely humble. Looking foward to going to Edinburg this weekend.

I saw the c.c. bearcats play last year in the 7th/8th boys division really good team....I met the coach at foot locker in san antonio wish i could remember his name and contact info. any help would be appreciated

yea we were close the second half then our kids ran out of gas and flossers took advantage...yea we were gonna go to edinburg this weekend with both teams but had already commited to the san benito tourney before contacted by edinburg tourney...both should be good events. hope u all get to play bville ballers they are a great 7th grade team, that would be a good game

I hope the Edinburg tourney doesnt fold and it follows through. I am hoping there are good teams in the tourney to make it worth the ride. We practiced yesterday and the kid from El Paso is going to really help us out a lot. I have heard many good things about the Brownsville Ballers Team and I am always up for a great challenge. Good Luck to all teams participating this weekend unfortunately my best player will be playing in SA this weekend but thats no reason to make excuses when you play someone. The other kids just have to step up and I hope the Brownsville Team is there because I have heard that we match up well against them and that they have a very good team. The toughest teams we've played in the valley have been the Hoopdawgs of course and the South Texas Hoopsters which I was impressed with the Kobe kid that can shoot lights out, fortunately we won both games in double digits but trailed at the half against the Hoopsters befor pulling out the win.
