In that case Porter had no incentive. They had it before game was played. Other than not wanting to share title.

hopefully gone for good... good luck in the playoffs for all 32-5A teams, how cool would it be if San Benito and Porter meet up later in PLAYOFFS... but if Porter dont get their Sh*t straight, their one and done.. they played horrible softball down towards the end of the season, right now is when u need to play ur best softball... IF ONLY WE HAD A COACH LIKE JOEY JOEY..... NOT!!!!!!!

I dont think porter played horrible softball down the stretch. I did not see the los fresnos game but the game against San Benito was a classical match up. Both teams were on top of their game.

yea, that game was good, but in previous games leading up to that even tho they were winning you could just get that feeling that they were playing without a sence of urgency, they would always start off real slow, not giving that extra effort at times they shouldve...

A team that plays with no sense of urgency is a discipline team in my opinion. Many of times we want our teams to score quick but runs can be scored at any moment.

UBeGood...if joejoey were to be coaching (which I've never done), I think his pitching selections would have been a lot better...(Oooops I almost critizied a coach who has won 6 1/2 district titles).
Now you all run and have fun boys...

I agree with pitching selections cuz throwing it down the middle with 2 strikes nomas no... and only throwing 1 changeup through out the whole game wont cut it either, gotta keep the hitters off balance... but with that said, THE PITCHER NEEDS TO HIT HER SPOTS, and thats something both these freshmen have trouble doing, and thats why they get hit hard...

UBeGood...THE PITCHER, did hit her spots. If the coach asks for something he gets it. All season long, he has asked Maricela to throw middle and high. refuses to let her throw her normal pitches which every one knows are very hard to hit. Once she settles in with her movement she is unhittable. She has been trained to and does pitch very well...it's uncomprehensible why the pitch calling continues to be the same.
UBeGood...I do join all of this forum in saying lets back up all the teams in the Valley...first ours (mine is Porter), then all 32 5-A, and finally any Valley team that makes the playoff outside the Valley.
We do have tremendous talent in the Valley...we need to promote it to the rest of the State and the country so that are athletes are considered for some of those D-1 scholarships.
