Might go back to PI? PI is kinda lost right now...
It's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog.

What about Brownsville schools? Remember that stupid 50/50 rule....
Kind of dumb when one of the schools has to struggle....does that mean a coach will get fired every year.

I dont know if Harlingen South will take Leal back since he turned down the job before they hired Cherry. I wonder if Landeros would consider coming back either. I know that Rio Hondo doesnt want to let him go.
I wonder if Leal would come back to South. I would also luv to take coach Ford away from Los Fresnos, but that's probably impossible.

San Benito
San Benito pays the top money in the valley. I spoke to one of the main guys in San Benito that's on the school board and he wouldn't comment about their situation, but he did say they were looking for someone.
He also said they plan to make the Veterans Freshman Academy into a second high school. It would be a 4A in the next realighment.
I wouldn't be surprise if a current Mid Valley coach is coaching San Benito next year.

A little Parody moment....
(South School Board) "Self....remind me to hire a coach that can win with NO TALENT."
Sorry....I feel Cherry SHOULD STAY at South. And weather the fruitlessness of no real talent at South. The kids need consistency.....I would say to
I mean....Rio Hondo could've probably beaten South the way the kids were playing. That's not the coaches fault.....
Heck I didn't believe Harlingen South went Undefeated in '07....THEY WEREN'T that good, but did have alot of experience.WE DON'T RELOAD,WE OVERLOAD! Getchya Popcorn Ready.

Rivera
Candelario "Piggy" Rivera formerly of Venus and Mildred High Schools in the Fort Worth area and after starring for the Mighty Edinburg Bobcats in the late 80's just got hired at Del Rio to be their offensive line coach and head powerlifting coach. Congradulations big guy. Make Jorge Pena, Jesse Villarreal and Milo Garcia proud. And Arnold Martinez. Oh and Richard "Potter" Vega.
