I understand it was preseason, its like this year if east beats calallen, I cant say we could be better than them at the end of they year, simply cause its a preseason game. Anyways I know your just upset bcause you cant call east your doormat anymore like you always did, because youve always been a classy guy(sarcasm). Your upset cause the redemption team couldnt keep the dc like they said they would from the beginning. Thats why your butt hurt. Its funny cause even after that I kept supporting ee even through the playoffs. Why cause I belived ee was a good team. I even thought ee had what it took to beat san benito if they ever played.

Notice the deflection, still no Facts provided, and the subject change to EE now. Absolutely NOWHERE was EE even mentioned in my previous post.

And by the way, just like you say East can't say they're better than Calallen even if they beat them at the beginning of the season. Well if Calallen lost, they can't say they were a better team at the end of the season than East either.

If they DO, then that's a matter of OPINION, not truth.

I've gotta side with Hunter on this one. A win is a win, who cares when it is. It sounds like Matt Leinart crying at the end of the 05' NC game that they were still the better team even though they lost. If they were the better team they would have won. The game is played on the field, not in the matter of opinion.

I would love to say that I think we were better than Aledo two years ago. We had three key starters hurt, "TRUTH" of the matter is they came to our stadium and beat us. For the rest of the year they had the right to say they were better than us, they proved it on the field.

Ive never stated east being better than sb at the end of the season was fact. Its an opinion cause it cant be proven. Ive acknowleged the fact sb beat east this year in a preseason game, ive never dismissed that. And im not deflecting the issue thats why ive left several posts I just wanted to let peeps in on the reason ur in the anti-truth movement, a lil backround to let them know where your coming from. Again for everybody here me beliving east was better at the end of the season is my opinion but it was based off what I had seen the whole season. It was called an upset. I understand that happens in sports. But like ive said many times this year we will meet in a season game with more on the line, if sb wins ill give them there props, if anyteam beats them ill give them there props.

I agree, but when you only play once you have every right to say that you are the better team if you win on the field. Just my opinion, but if there is only one game you can only go by that.

Look what happened to LSU and Alabama this past year. I know it can happen, but if they only play once there is nothing else you can judge it by.

Because of politics. I'm seeing it here and I'm seeing it on 5Atexasfootball.com too. 5A has actually had this issue much longer, they didn't create a separate forum just for politics. Their off-topic forum began being filled with politic garbage, and it's sad to say a LOT of good posters have left that site for this very reason.
This board has the Discuss and Debate forum created separately, to purposely keep politics out of the rest of the board. But the problem is when long time posters begin sharing their political views, then it turns into a republican/democrat issue, then it turns into a class welfare issue, then a race issue.

It went from guys logging on to talk football/sports and other normal daily chatter, to people taking sides and making this board a divided one.

When I walk into a Buffalo Wild Wings or Fast Eddies, I'm there to kick it and have a good time with my friends, meet some new people, talk about sports, music, daily bulls***, whatever. I'm not there to talk about some new bill Barack Obama signed, and OH my Gosh did you hear about the tea-party?! IMMIGRATION laws!! Remember Bush!! Budget...DEFICIT! S***! F***! TITTYYY!!!

I used BWW and Fast Eddies as an example because when I used to log in here, that's what I was here for. To have fun and meet new peeps. I remember when guero used to post funny videos and topics. Now its just Obama this, Obama that. Republicans this, democrats that. I remember when Newbs used to talk about things other than guns and Obama. I remember when I used to think EOTT was white!! And i could count on him being in either the football or softball forum. I remember when greenblood used to never make sense!....and somethings dont always change, and that's a good thing. But now it's just the same repetitive garbage over and over again. Obama. Republicans. Immigration. Health Care. Race. This board is like a cupcake. This thread proves your your initial post was pretty stupid. The fact is if someone posts something in the political threads dont go in there expecting sports talk. You dont have to go in those threads. I belive everyone would rather speak sports but its prdtty much wrapping up with the baseball season and then you can chat spring ball. You can choose what you want to go read. You want alot of peeps in the football thread well guess what footballs over. like others have said they will be back when football starts.
