It depends if you're talking about winning district or winning a state title...
In either case, what you are looking for is going to come with just a new head coach. It will only come from a paradigm shift within the athletic program. (This of course requires the cooperation and combined effort of the school board, administration, athletes, and finally the head coach and his staff. )
When I say paradigm shift, i'm talking about a change in the attitude, beliefs, work habits, and so on of the team from the high-school all the way through the jr. high levels. Then and only then will a team develop a winning tradition.

yea i comletely agree with that statement. but with the team the eagles have coming back i think a pass happy coach is what they need somebody opposite of most of these valley coaches who believe in three yards and a cloud of dust type of running game

I'm from Mission and I keep hearing 3 names being thrown out like if all three were getting the job. I prefer one over the others by a landslide if it were an election, but that is just me. The one guy I prefer is going to apply and that was told to me by one of his relatives in M town. I don't like to talk about names until I officially see the actual list of applicants in writing and even then, they can always pull their name out in the middle of the whole process.
But trust me, you guys will get a coach who will take what Tom Lee had there with the talent and he should be able to make the playoffs and potentially a 2 or 3 deep run.
Hey, somebody told me Gilbert Is playing basketball on the JV team. Is this true, if so, that should help him be a better runner to make cuts with more agression.Last edited by eagleprophet; 01-03-2009 at 01:44 PM.

It's pretty much the ones I think are interested in the mix. Wow a 10-0 JV and the speedsters at the skill positions coming back is a good gig for anyone to go after.
Whoever gets the job should be expected to contend for district and make at least a 2 deep run into the playoffs.Mission Eagles----2009 32 AAAA District Champions!!!!! The EAGLE has taken off, YOUR TEAM must prepare for landing!!!
