Mission High football coach/athletic coordinator Tom Lee will be reassigned and was informed late Wednesday evening. The decision was reached after a Mission CISD Board of Trustees meeting.

Mission CISD superintendent Oscar Rodriguez, who made the decision to reassign Lee and Longoria, said the district "needed to go in a different direction" with its football teams.

In six seasons leading the Eagles, Lee went 24-36. This season, his team recovered from an 0-4 start to make the playoffs, finishing fourth in District 32-4A.

Mission needs to look outside of the valley if they want to get back to the glory days. A good passing game needs to be implemented into that program if they will ever make a run in the playoffs again. look at history how many running teams from mission made runs in the playoffs. Um None.

Detmer Era - Only Pass (Koy still holds the state record for most pass attempts in a game)

I should know a little about these guys since they're team mates. Gilbert is definitely a good player, double threat. He can run and pass, both of which he's pretty good at. Hopefully, we get someone who won't let all this talent go to waste.
