Sabercats Jump Out To Early Lead In Victory Over Hanna

Vela jumped out to an early lead over Hanna and took home a 6-1 victory on Friday. The Sabercats scored on a fielder’s choice by Matt Vela in the second inning.

Andre Martinez earned the win for Robert Vela Sabercats. He went six innings, surrendering one run, three hits, and striking out five. Noe Guerrero took the loss for Brownsville Hanna. He pitched five innings, surrendering four runs, six hits, and striking out one.

Vela had nine hits in the game. Rafael (RJ) Ochoa and Aaron Galvan each collected multiple hits for the Sabercats. Galvan and Ochoa each managed two hits to lead Vela. The Sabercats were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Adam Alviso made the most plays with nine.
