The 2016 Greyhounds reached the playoffs for the second straight season, but where again defeated in bi-district by the Edinburg Bobcats.  This season the Greyhounds will count on two seniors and several sophomores to fill out their lineup this season.  The leaders for the Greyhounds this season will be Tony Gonzalez, Alfonso Mireles, and Nate Garcia. After losing five starters who had started since their sophomore season, the Hounds will be using new starters which are young, but very talented.  The Greyhounds have gone 99-99 over the last eight seasons.  Going to the playoffs in 2016, 2015, and 2012.  This season the Greyhounds will battle Los Fresnos, Hanna, Harlingen, and Weslaco for the top spots in district.
